When evaluating patients for lumbar-sacral radiculopathies, the lower extremity sensory nerves will help to differentiate that diagnosis from a lumbar-sacral plexopathy or peripheral neuropathy. The session will focus on technical challenges that may make it difficult to obtain these nerves, and demonstrate how to minimize those problems. By learning how to obtain meaningful, reproducible waveforms, the participants can feel more confident including them in the electrodiagnostic design. The session will demonstrate specific techniques, and include a discussion regarding the relevance of including these studies when helping to make a diagnosis.
