Hip osteoarthritis and tendinopathies are among the most common disorders seen in outpatient sports, pain and musculoskeletal practice. The use of injectable orthobiologic products including: prolotherapy, PRP, and stem cell concentrates (bone marrow and fat derived) is an attractive and important alternative to steroid injection in patients who have not improved with our standard treatments. This course will provide an evidence and experience based update on the use of US guided orthobiologic injections for hip osteoarthritis and the two most common hip tendonopathies: gluteal and hamstring. The rationale, research, patient selection, treatment approach and post procedure rehabilitation will be discussed.
