Mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) may manifest with a variety of cognitive, physical, and psychology symptoms. While the mainstay of treatment for mTBI is activity modifications, pharmacotherapy may be helpful to treat severe or refractory symptoms that are functionally limiting. This session will discuss the role of medication in the treatment of symptoms in mTBI by presenting the latest evidence for pharmacotherapy. As well, this symposium will identify gaps in the literature on pharmacotherapy and draw on evidence from other disease states to inform best clinical practice.
